A Light Bulb Moment

In my last post I was talking about finding niches that you can promote from within you existing business, well guess what yesterday morning I bumped into an old acquaintance who is a bricklayer /builder, he asked how I was getting on with the weather being so bad,I told him that I was finding paying work to do most days, he replied that he hadn’t earned a penny in the last 2 weeks because of the sub zero temperature, That’s when I had a light bulb moment .

 Well  in my opinion lol!

Find Your Own Niche

Not so long ago when you were looking for someone to carryout work at your house you would usually look in yellow pages or your local newspaper first! but times have changed ! now many of us will either use our computer or our mobile phone to find someone who can carry out the work.

And thats where many companys are letting themselves down!

So many of smaller businesses use there company name” Joe Bloggs Fencing ” or Hawkins & Sons and then below the headline they list all of the services they offer which leaves the smarter business to take the cream from the pie first.

Take the time to reflect

Well depending where you are living in the UK at the moment you are either fighting with the snow or the freezing temperatures or both!

Here in Oxfordshire we seem to have missed the worst of the weather, but it has still curtailed my Gardening business! however I have still managed to work for at least 5 hours a day so far, that is until I slipped on the ice yesterday and twisted my back!  it just goes to show that you don’t know what life has around the corner for you!

A nice story for the season…

Hi Guys

I just came across this story which follows on nicely from my last post!

So please take the 7mins it takes to watch the video even though this happened in the 1930,s it is happening once again in many places in the world now!

A nice story for the season…
The CBS Sunday Morning program had another great segment last week.

It told the story of an anonymous benefactor in Canton, OH back in the 1930’s during the depression.

This man gave away $750, $5 at a time to people who had been hit hard by the depression. That is the equivalent of $100 today.

Think Out of The Box

Well with Christmas less than 4 weeks away, I am sure you are all busy buying gifts for your friends and loved ones!

For many with small budgets it will either mean that they spend less on each gift or that they simply cut back on the amount of gifts that they buy, the trouble is over the years we have forgotten what Christmas is really about, and that is showing our love for those close to us and spreading the spirit of good will.

When Sadness Can Bring Joy!

Hi Guys

I cannot believe it has been over 3 months since my last post!

So much has happened in that time, good and bad! the good thing is that I have had a fruitful and busy summer with my Gardening business which I have enjoyed immensely! the sad thing is that unfortunately I have lost two very dear customers who have passed away in the past month.

While its sad to lose someone you are close to, I always look at Funerals as a way of celebrating that persons life, yes there can be tears of sadness but also of joy as you reflect on the smiles and laughter that you have shared with them!

Overcome Your Fears!

When we started out on Johns course we all started with lots of enthusiasm and hope that we had found the holy grail to Internet success! we all followed johns instructions and with a little help from the support desk we got our blogs online and began writing!

But as the course has progressed students have either dropped out or have stopped writing on there blog for one reason or another! its a shame really because we only have to look at past students to see that if we stick with it we can gradually start to earn an income with the tools and education that  john has given to us throughout the course!

Its All About Choices!

Well the weather has been gorgeous in this part of the UK!

Still very busy with my landscaping/gardening business and the big bonus is!  that I get paid to get a suntan!

However this has meant I have had to put on hold my work with John Thornhills Masterclass! there just does not seem to be enough time in the day to give it the attention it deserves! and I so want to get my Internet Business working right!

Enjoy Your Passion!

Its been a while since I have posted to my blog! as I have been so busy with my gardening/landscaping business, but today I have made the time to write this post!

Often people will ask me ” how can I do the same thing every day” don’t you get fed up with it” well the answer is no! the reason being that each day is different, I may be visiting the same garden on a weekly or fortnightly basis and doing similar work, but every time I visit that garden something new is in flower or in bud!

Life is a Journey!

What a lovely few days we are having here in the Cotswolds, well no work yesterday, so I thought I would go for a nice walk out in the lovely country side, As I have said before I live on the edge of the Cotswolds near Burford, But yesterday I took a short drive over to a small hamlet called Chimney just outside of Aston,
